Document, connect, date, correct

Kerkenniens uses a deliberately simple method: preserve archives without disguising them, identify contemporary sources, distinguish confidence levels and keep a correction path open.

1. Classify the material

Each item is treated as an archive, contemporary dossier, practical information, external source, contribution or documentary landmark. These statuses are not interchangeable.

2. Preserve time context

The date of an old article remains visible. Time-sensitive information must carry a verification date when republished as practical information.

3. Identify provenance

Organisation, author, document, URL and date are retained when available. A source is evidence to examine, not an absolute guarantee.

4. Cross-check when needed

For environmental, geographical or contested topics, Kerkenniens seeks to connect archives, institutional sources and documentary work rather than rely on a single claim.

5. Display uncertainty

Transliteration variants, divergent maps, old information and missing measurements remain visible. Absence of evidence is not turned into evidence of absence.

6. Correct without rewriting the past

A historical archive may receive context or a correction, but its original text is not silently rewritten to match the present.
